annual report:
here is what I have so far for my (not real) annual report for etsy. on the total sales page i need to get rid of the white that is on top of the cream and under the scratches.

"let nature run its course"
last sunday i was riding my bike and stopped because the wind was blowing against me and i was out of breath. i heard a kitten cry so i looked around and saw a baby calico kitten in the middle of the highway that runs through my town. cars were driving by it and over it. when i got to the cat i saw that it was dragging its back legs. i picked it up and waited for a ride to take her home. since it was sunday no vet places were open so we called animal control. while we waited for them to call back we noticed that it looked like someone had burned off her whiskers and there was no blood or broken skin that we could see on her legs. you could tell that from her lower back down she was paralyzed and she couldn't control going to the bathroom, but she was strong and drug herself around with her front paws. animal control called back and said that they didn't deal with cats, and that we should "put it back" where we found it and "let nature run its course."
i am pretty sure that nature doesnt involve the use of lighters, cruel hands, and automobile tires. my room mate was going to kansas city that night, so she took the kitten up there to her vet. the vet said she had massive internal damage and a pad onher foot at been ripped off. she had to be put to sleep.
yesterday i was dropping off a cd with the CPS brochure on it and as I was walking into the counseling center, I heard a flapping and fluttering noise. i looked down and saw a small sparrow glued down to a bug trap. i got closer and looked, and the trap was for catching snakes and mice, and whoever put it down didnt even bother to fold it. the bird was frantic and had it's chest, right wing, and feet stuck to the glue. i went inside to tel someone, and the first person i spoke to said to just leave it there. i couldn't beleive it so i went down all teh halls asking anyone in an office for assistance. i found an office that got me some gloves from a janitor's office. i picked the bird and trap up and set it in the grass. i put my gloved thumb on the trap to see just how sticky it was, and i had to pull with al my force to remove it. i knew that if i pulled on the bird i would rip its wing or legs or chest off. i didn't even try to pull the bird off so i instead walked down to the science building, found the biology department, and knocked on the door. luckily someone was in there and i showed him the bird, told him my dilema and he said that the bird person wasn't there, but he could break the bird's neck so that it wouldnt suffer. i told him to just do whatever he thought was best since he appreciated life.
